Vila do Conde's Câmara gave a favourable opinion in May 2026 on the prior information request filed in December 2025. According to the promoter, the project has National Interest Project status. We found no public consultation.
Capacity and waste have not been disclosed. On 28 September 2026 an information session with Capwatt was suspended and about 200 residents gathered by Tougues church. Concerns include odours, flies, noise, trucks, wells and the neighbouring care home.
