About us

MOV.AP is the Citizens' Movement of Avelãs de Ambom and Pêra do Moço, an informal group of residents of the municipality of Guarda. We oppose the building of a biomethane plant between the two villages[1].

"This is not about being against progress, or rejecting renewable energy. Development is only truly sustainable when it protects people and respects the environment."[2]

What we do

• We gather and publish the facts, with sources, so that anyone can check them.
• We collect signatures for two petitions: to the Assembleia da República and to Guarda's Câmara and Assembleia Municipal.
• We explain how to take part in public consultations and how to request documents.

How we work

• Every fact has a source you can open. If there is no source, we do not publish it.
• We show what is not known instead of guessing.
• This site uses no tracking cookies and its pages make no third-party requests; the site's emails (confirmations, voting codes and updates) are sent through Brevo.
