Do you agree with a biomethane plant being built between Avelãs de Ambom and Pêra do Moço?

On 19 June 2026, Guarda's Câmara Municipal recognised the municipal public interest of a plant producing biomethane and organic fertilisers in the parish union of Avelãs de Ambom and Rocamondo. This vote is run by MOV.AP, a citizens' movement that opposes the project. Each person votes once, confirmed with a code sent by email, and gives the parish where they live so that local residents' results can be seen separately.

How it works, and what this vote is not

Who runs it: MOV.AP, a citizens' movement that opposes the project. We are an interested party.
Dates: Open since 17 October 2026; no closing date set (it closes when MOV.AP decides, and we will say so here).
Verification: Each vote is confirmed with a 6-digit code sent by email (valid for 15 minutes, five tries). One email, one vote. Temporary email addresses are blocked and there is an anti-bot check.
Anonymity: The vote is stored without email or name, only the answer, the parish group and the date. The irreversible digest of the email, used only to stop repeat votes, is kept apart and deleted when the vote closes.
Results: Results are updated every hour, not with every vote, so nobody can link a change in the numbers to someone who has just voted; the time of the last update is shown above the results. Percentages are rounded to whole numbers. Small groups (fewer than 5 votes) are not shown, and when one is hidden another is hidden too and counts are dropped, leaving only percentages: so nobody can work out how a small group voted by subtraction.
Who votes: Anyone aged 16 or over who wants to. The sample is self-selected, does not represent the population and has no margin of error. The parish is the one each person gives, unverified. Local residents are those of Alvendre, Arrifana, Avelãs de Ambom e Rocamondo, Codesseiro, Gonçalo Bocas, Pêra do Moço, Sobral da Serra, Vila Franca do Deão.
