Alenquer: the municipal assembly says no to the biomethane plant
Alenquer's municipal assembly unanimously declared that the Abrigada plant is of no municipal interest.
On 24 September 2026 Alenquer's municipal assembly unanimously declared that the Abrigada biomethane plant is of no municipal interest. The Câmara had already given an unfavourable opinion in the public consultation, citing undemonstrated odour control and road safety.
In Guarda the opposite happened: the Câmara recognised the municipal public interest without the capacity or the waste being public.
